Armstrong's FMX series of FM Exciters offer clean audio sound combined with exceptional reliability, quality and "plug and play" installation: FMX exciters are available in powers from 30 to 300 watts and Solid State Amplifiers at 650 and 1,300 watts.

Our exciters are FCC approved for use as exciters and stand alone low power transmitters. All feature full remote monitoring capability, multiple SCA inputs.

CD Quality Exciters
Stations wishing to step up to CD Quality Audio are advised to consider the Armstrong FMX LCD series. Offered at 30 and 100 watts the FMX LCD series features Automatic Modulation Output Control that holds modulation constant even with variations in program level, Automatic power output control, VSWR protection and more. The FMX LCD series also has a field upgrade available to allow a station to start with an analog exciter and upgrade to AES/EBU input when they are ready for an all digital air chain.

Of special interest to mutiple station owners is the FMX LCD's ability to be switched between 5 preset frequencies via remote control. This allows broadcasters with co located transmission facilities to use one exciter and a solid state amplifier as a back-up for up to five stations.

Solid State Low Power Amplifiers
Armstrong's Solid State Low Power Amplifiers are self contained and include a robust switching power supply, harmonic filter and directional coupler along with complete remote control monitoring of all parameters.

Offered at 300 and 500 watts, these plug and play designed amps can be used with a new Armstrong exciter or your existing exciter as low power transmitters, to boost translator power output or as drivers for higher power transmitters.
